Beautiful Oregon

Although we plan to travel, this will be where we consider our home, beautiful Oregon! Yes, these are my photos, I hope you enjoy them.
New Zealand
Amoung the many things on my current bucket list is to visit New Zealand’s Marlborough Sounds and the beaches of the South Island. I want to spend some time soaking in the serenity and scenic beauty that are such an intrinsic part of the culture of this country.
Although New Zealand has primarily a Western Culture, it is richly diverse and filled with the history of the Maori people. Because of its intrinsic beauty and its diverse people, I am seriously thinking about retiring to New Zealand.
It’s truly possible to start your day high in the mountains, tour the wine country and end your day on a coastal beach. Or if you prefer, take a long hike or bike ride and then stop for a delicious dinner followed by taking time out to enjoy an unparalleled view of the stars.

Our Journey Begins
Greetings! My name is Sheri. I am an amateur photographer, an artist and an armchair adventurer. Although I’ve traveled for years, in 2010, I decided to go out and see the world, one beautiful place at a time. I started with a solo journey to the Shasta Lake area of Northern California (I live in Oregon). Then, I followed it with another solo trip to Camino Island, Washington.
I grew up in Denver, Colorado and saw the ocean for the first time when I was 25 years old and for the past 38 years, I’ve dreamed of traveling to an island paradise. Two years ago, on my 61st birthday, I received a musical video card filled with images of New Zealand’s South Island, I was hooked!
Last summer (2018), my husband and I were in Denver visiting our family and friends when we began talking about how to travel full-time. From that simple conversation, we have developed a template for how to make that our reality. In June, I will retire from work and graduate the week after. In July, we will purchase a 30′ motor home and then in March (2020), we move into it as full-time travelers. I plan to share my experiences and through photos, those beautiful places we often dream about. I hope you’ll join us on our journey!
